It's wonderful to see actors like Vidyut Jammwal bringing it into the limelight through their films and fitness routines. Kalaripayattu's techniques, which include strikes, kicks, grappling, are not just a form of combat but also a way to enhance physical fitness and mental discipline. Vidyut Jammwal has been a great ambassador for this ancient art, showcasing its versatility and power in movies like Commando and Junglee. It is way better than karate.
It's a shame that this incredible martial art isn't as well-known in the northern parts of India. But with its increasing popularity and representation in media, more people will hopefully come to forward and learn about Kalaripayattu.
