In Hindu mythology, the Sapt Chiranjivi (Seven Immortals) are legendary figures believed to live until the end of Kaliyuga. These immortals were blessed with eternal life due to their virtues, devotion, or divine missions. Their names are often recalled in the sloka:
"Ashwatthama Balir Vyaso Hanumanash cha Vibhishanah,Kripacharyash cha Parashuramas tathaitre Saptajivinah."
1. Ashwatthama
Who? Son of Guru Dronacharya (Mahabharata).
Why Immortal? Cursed by Lord Krishna to wander eternally after he misused his divine weapon (Brahmastra).
Significance: Roams the Earth suffering as part of his punishment.
2. King Bali (Mahabali)
Who? A righteous Asura king, known for his generosity.

3. Maharishi Ved Vyasa

4. Lord Hanuman
Who? Devotee of Lord Rama, son of Vayu.
Why Immortal? Blessed by Rama to live forever and protect Dharma.
Significance: Symbol of devotion, strength, and service.
5. Vibhishana
Who? Younger brother of Ravana, later crowned King of Lanka.
Why Immortal? Blessed by Lord Rama for his righteousness and devotion.
Significance: Stays alive to uphold justice and Dharma.
6. Kripacharya
Who? Guru of the Kauravas and Pandavas.
Why Immortal? Blessed due to his selfless dedication to teaching and guidance.
Significance: Preserved to train future generations in warfare and wisdom.
7. Parashurama
Who? The sixth avatar of Vishnu, a warrior-sage.
Why Immortal? Chosen to live until the end of time to train warriors, including future Kalki Avatar.
Significance: Still meditating and preparing for his divine role.
